Pembury Hospital represented a groundbreaking project in the UK's healthcare sector, not only for its 100% single bedrooms with en suite facilities but also for its stringent requirements for sealant application. As the exclusive sealant applicator on the project, Sealtite Sealants was tasked with delivering over 100,000 linear meters of internal and external sealant applications, encompassing a wide range of areas from operating theatres to car parks and helicopter landing pads.
The project demanded the use of specialist clean room sealants within the operating theatres, ensuring a sterile environment free from contaminants. External expansion joints, doorframes, and even the intricate 2-part sealants applied to floor joints in high-traffic areas such as car parks, required meticulous attention to detail to meet both the functional and aesthetic needs of the hospital.
To meet the project's ambitious deadlines, Sealtite Sealants scaled up its operations in the concluding weeks, deploying a team of 10 expert applicators who worked around the clock. This intense commitment ensured that all sealant applications were executed to the highest standard, contributing significantly to the hospital's operational excellence and patient care environment.
